Committee approves field trips, fundraisers unanimously

WINCHENDON — The Winchendon School Committee unanimously approved field trips and fundraisers in a routine September meeting. Chair Mike Barbaro presided as the committee approved minutes from five prior sessions, a weekly Market Basket field trip for Murdock High School ALL students, and two fundraisers: a Class of 2027 Butterbraid sale and a cross-country popcorn fundraiser. Business Manager Liz Latoria presented a budget update noting some accounts appeared temporarily over budget due to payroll transitions, and reported a donation of school supplies from the Winchendon CAC for art departments.
District representatives were scheduled to meet with the school bus company to address transportation concerns raised by committee members.
