Winchendon Parks and Rec Unveils New Blues, Brew and BBQ Festival
Winchendon's Parks and Recreation Department is rolling out a brand-new community festival, Blues, Brew & BBQ, set for Saturday, Aug. 29, adding a fresh late-summer draw to a calendar already stacked with library and youth programming heading into the holiday weekend.

The town's Economic Development Task Force has canceled its Wednesday, Aug. 26 meeting, according to the town's online events calendar. No rescheduled date was listed as of Tuesday.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Parks and Recreation teased "some exciting news" in announcing Blues, Brew & BBQ for Saturday, Aug. 29, a new addition to the town's outdoor events lineup. Details on the venue and lineup were not yet posted beyond the announcement.
The department is also promoting a free Community Open Mic & Picnic in the Park for Friday, Aug. 28, billed as a family-friendly evening of music and food outdoors. Beals Memorial Library, meanwhile, has its Mystery & Thriller Lovers Book Club meeting Wednesday, Aug. 26.
