Winchendon Flags Issue With Latest Water, Sewer Bill
WINCHENDON — Town Hall posted a notice flagging an issue with the most recent water and sewer utility bill sent to residents, while Parks and Recreation and the library rolled out a run of late-summer programming, including a new free batting clinic for girls.

The town's News Flash service posted an alert titled "Issue on Latest Water Sewer Bill," signaling a problem with the most recent round of water and sewer billing sent to residents. The town did not detail the nature of the error in the portion of the notice available; residents with billing questions are directed to contact Town Hall directly.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Parks and Recreation is opening a free four-week softball batting clinic for girls ages 8 to 12, with sessions beginning Thursday, Aug. 20. The department has also booked a fuller slate of late-summer programming at the Hub and around town, including Bingo at the Hub on Aug. 27, a Free Community Open Mic and Picnic in the Park on Aug. 28, and a Blues, Brew and BBQ event on Aug. 29. Beals Memorial Library continues its regular slate of community programs, including a caregiver support group, a Lego Club, and a yoga class with instructor Chantal of Shadow Alchemy Wellness.
COMING UP
The Planning Board holds a meeting and public hearing Tuesday, Aug. 18, the same day the town conducts tabulator testing ahead of the State Primary and the library hosts its Teen Dungeons & Dragons Club. The Council on Aging, Youth Commission, Charter and Bylaw Review Committee, and Parks and Recreation Committee also meet Tuesday, Aug. 18. The CFCE Preschool Playgroup meets Thursday, Aug. 20, and the library holds Storytime on Friday, Aug. 21.
