DATELINE -- WINCHENDON

The town's Economic Development Task Force announced Thursday a new partnership with Discovery Maps to produce a professionally illustrated visitor and community map showcasing Winchendon's attractions, businesses, services, and destinations, the most concrete economic-development move announced by the town this cycle.

TOWN HALL

The Economic Development Task Force unveiled the Discovery Maps collaboration, which will result in a custom illustrated map designed to draw visitors and help residents navigate local businesses and services. Discovery Maps specializes in this kind of community cartography for towns across the region, and the finished product typically circulates through tourism networks, hotels, and welcome centers. Details on distribution and timeline were not included in Thursday's announcement. The full press release is available at the town's civic alerts page (https://www.townofwinchendon.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=155).
