School Committee approves three-year contract for Superintendent King

Winchendon School Committee approves three-year superintendent contract and preliminary FY27 budget. Superintendent Charlotte King's contract was unanimously approved for the term of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. Business Manager Liz Latoria presented the preliminary FY27 budget at $16,119,953 in total salaries, with $2,786,715 for special education expenditures, and reported the district anticipates MSBA building designs will secure 77 percent state reimbursement for accessibility upgrades.
A budget hearing is tentatively scheduled for February 19.
