Winchendon Finance Committee hears $35.5M Montachusett Tech budget. The school's proposed FY2027 budget, up 2.5 percent from FY2026, includes a required Winchendon contribution of $580,921, an increase of $11,367. Superintendent Tom Brown and Business Manager Tammy Crockett reported that Montachusett Tech's 1,403 students include 38 percent classified as high-needs, and the school earned a record $3.6 million in grants.
The MVP academy will expand from 80 students to 120 next year. Total regional assessment across all communities is $13.9 million, up 6 percent.
