Winchendon Council on Aging updates Mission Statement, advances grant-funded programs. The COA met June 11 with consultant Jane LaPointe to modernize the organization's 20-year-old Mission Statement, with 14 members present. The Robinson Broadhurst Foundation awarded $34,481 to support an ADA accessible Community Connector vehicle ($20,481 local match), expansion of the popular Taste of Home lunch program to twice monthly ($10,000), and digital literacy programming ($4,000).
The Community Connector transportation service reported 1,309 completed rides in April 2026 — a 170 percent increase from 485 monthly rides in June 2025 — with 288 active riders currently using the system.
