Council on Aging · Meeting of February 5, 2026
WINCHENDON — Council on Aging establishes subgroup for Age-Friendly North Central MA planning. The board received a presentation from Chelsey Patriss, Executive Director of the Community Health Network for North Central Massachusetts, regarding the Age-Friendly North Central MA Plan, which engages 27 communities across the region. The COA formed a subgroup to develop assessment questions for identifying senior population service and program needs.
The broader initiative aims to address shared regional challenges: limited public transportation, inadequate housing, social isolation, and mental health concerns, with the goal of creating communities where older adults can age with dignity, health, and purpose.
