Board removes Parks & Recreation article from warrant

Winchendon Board of Selectmen votes unanimously to remove Parks & Recreation Enterprise Fund article from warrant. Chair Andrew Beauvais recommended removal, citing insufficient due diligence; Selectwoman Erika Eitland moved and Selectwoman Audrey LaBrie seconded, with the vote unanimous. The Board also unanimously accepted a $450 donation from Fidelity Bank for Parks and Recreation.
Town Manager William McKinney reported the Snow and Ice budget exceeded $500,000 over budget, and the Town of Templeton declined to renew its animal control sharing agreement set to expire June 30.
