Board of Selectmen approves planning board appointment and strikes warrant articles.

Board of Selectmen · Meeting of April 27, 2026

Winchendon Board of Selectmen approves planning board appointment and removes warrant articles. Vice Chair Tiffany Newton led the board in unanimously appointing Mary Helen Black to the Planning Board and striking Articles 28 and 29 from the May 18 town meeting warrant after Charter and Bylaw Committee members raised concerns over charter language typos and incomplete revisions. The board also unanimously approved licenses for Patties Jewelers and Edward Vaillancourt and two licenses for the Winchendon Community Action Committee.

DPW Director Patrick Wood reported the Maybardy Project expects capping installation and completion this fall. A special Board of Selectmen meeting was scheduled for May 5 at 6:30 p.m. to vote on and appoint warrant articles.
