Board authorizes school debt exclusion ballot questions for May election

Winchendon selectmen authorize Proposition 2 1/2 debt exclusion questions for school building projects on May ballot. Chair Andrew Beauvais led unanimous votes authorizing seven debt exclusion questions for MSBA school building projects: one for Memorial Elementary, three each for Murdock Middle/High School and Toy Town Elementary School. The board scheduled the Annual Town Meeting for May 18, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Murdock Middle/High School.

The board also unanimously approved a National Grid utility project on Teel Road to install eight new poles supporting a new substation to expand town capacity.
